Many experts believe Marco Rubio is the Republican candidate with the best shot at knocking of Democratic hopeful Hillary Clinton. With counterpart Jeb Bush now falling behind in revenue, Mr. Singer's support for Rubio will help increase his networking to the American people. Although, Hillary Clinton is surging ahead in polls, Rubio's Hispanic appeal will give him the slight edge against other Republican candidates. Mr. Singer previously has helped Mitt Romney get elected as the Republican nominee for presidency. I think with Mr. Singer's support Rubio can make the push to surge ahead of Donald Trump in the elections. Jeb Bush's poll numbers are declining and both opponents were lobbying for New York mastermind Singer to throw his support behind them. This new turn of events will help hype the Republican platform and make things more heated as Election day dawns closer.
I can see how Rubio has a good chance to win the presidency. I can see how important Singer's support can be based on the statistics from the last election. I do see how the system is a bit unfair: the power of the Super PACs and donors is mentioned in the article. One of Trump's strongest views, in my opinion, is that the system is corrupt in that the donors and such have an incredible influence on the candidates. Singer's choice of candidate only strengthens Trump's assertion.
ReplyDeleteIf Marco Rubio is elected as the Republican nominee and Hillary Clinton is elected as the Democratic nominee, then the race for presidency will become interesting. Many voters will have the option of voting for the first Latino president or the first female president. Female voters will mainly vote for Hillary while many males and Latinos will vote for Rubio. As a result of this, I feel that 2016 election will be close if this were to happen.

ReplyDeleteI agree that with Singer' support Rubio has a good chance of becoming the Republican candidate for the presidential election. However, I would not count Trump or Carson out yet since most of their support is from people who want to see a change in the political system.
ReplyDeleteWith the Singer's support, Rubio will be able to go far in the election. But as Dominik pointed out, the first female president or the first Latino president.
