Given the nature of how members of the Electoral College are chosen, presidential candidate Hillary Clinton may have a better chance at winning the election. Though most would consider suffrage a privilege particular to only documented citizens, by virtue of our representative government, there is some leeway that can be used to Clinton's advantage. According to the article, while 20% of the Electoral College is apportioned equally in accordance with the Senate (that is, one elector for each Senate member, therefore 100 members), the other 80% of the Electoral College is based on the House of Representatives. Because the "reallocation math is based on the relative "whole number of citizens in each state"", and because that definitions does not necessarily exclude illegal immigrants or noncitizens from being factored, Clinton, and other Democratic hopefuls, have an edge in the Electoral College, as immigrants are hard-pressed to vote for the likes of conservatives. Of course, contrariwise, the Democrats would suffer if a citizens-only count was used. I think the article introduces an interesting statistical side of the election that I had never considered before.
