Trump tees off on Carson, pollsters at Miami golf club rally

Generally, any article written about Trump is biased against him, whether they are pro-Democrat or pro-Republican. He has estranged himself from any political allies, and now, Ben Carson is facing the brunt of his insults. The basis of Trump's call against Carson was because a poll made by Quinnipiac University's researchers determined that Carson had a huge lead ahead of Trump in Iowa, and Trump decides outright to deny that as the truth. In fact, he says, "I don't believe those polls, by the way, because both of those pollsters don't like me". This is so ridiculous a statement, much like many ridiculous statements he's made in the past. Just because somebody doesn't like him (and many don't) doesn't mean that numbers can be forged in a poll to show a lie. Polls aren't always accurate, but what do the researchers benefit from with lying to the public about poll numbers? Even if Carson wins Iowa, his campaign is still small and unpopular, despite his poll popularity. It's almost a guarantee that he won't be the GOP candidate for 2016. Trump's campaign is also losing momentum, as his venue in Miami, Florida turned out less supporters than expected. His golf course is an oasis for the rich, with his Trump coat of arms on garbage cans (ironic, and yet atypical of him to decide that his name deserves a coat of arms). He also made sure ahead of time to keep the reporters from Univision out, and only let his passionate (rich) supporters in. It seems like even before he wins the primary, Trump is already building walls.

  1. It seems as if the novelty of Trump is gradually wearing off. The article mentioned that Trump is attacking Carson pollsters using the same tactics he used against Bush: "lack of energy". He is repeating what worked on Bush in hopes that this will knock down Carson's numbers that he doesn't believe are true. If he believes that these numbers aren't accurate, why bother taking time to attack Carson if he isn't even considered first place for Trump? Seems as if he's not willing to admit defeat and will try to get back up ahead of Carson "discreetly" and "inadvertently".

  2. I feel like this is just Trump being his usual self. He believes that everyone who is against him is lying or attacking him to make himself look like the victim. He only sees the good in himself and as a person who can not see any faults within himself, does not deserve to be the president.

  3. I think that Trump acted tactlessly because polls are not meant to be forged. If Trump really wanted to get the point across that the polls aren't accurate, then he should have talked about true errors in polling such as maintaining a proportional population regarding demographics of voters. Trump needs to put thought into what he says or else no one will believe him anymore.

  4. Trump was wrong to believe that the researcher would forge the polls. There is big money to be made in accurate polling so, as Jane said, how would the researchers benefit from lying to the public? I believe that as Trump sees his numbers going down he will make even more outrageous comments. As we have seen, every time Trump makes an outlandish remark his numbers go up.

  5. I think your post attacks Mr. Trump. I do agree that Trump's supporters are beginning to become wary with his attitude and remarks but he is leading in the overall polls. Ben Carson's push is coming to late into the elections and with primaries about a week and a half away it is unlikely that Carson will squeeze out the victory. Trump and his campaign can not be belittled because they have had a lead in the elections and have done it through free media usage. Instead of attacking Trump, I think we need to take a step back and realize how Mr. Trump remark's have made his name well known. He says absurd things and gets media attention. I think this is why he says crazy things. Although, this is an unorthodox method of getting media coverage it is effective. Regardless if he attacks the authenticity of polls, he is using that to get more coverage on himself.

  6. I think that Trump is so stubborn that since he feels threatened that Carson may be winning the votes in Iowa he argues the poll was inaccurate . He cannot handle his polls dropping in numbers and blames it on falsified data.

  7. Trump is trying to come up with an excuse in response to his failure to come out on top in Iowa. By attack Ben Carson, he also displays himself in a bad light; adding on to already faded light that he's in without the support of both democrats and other republicans.
